C; Making a resolution with your sibling because you want to do something and he can't if you do.

B; Every year my aunt and her husband hold a convention for kayaking, but not always do I go.

8 A; mediate (verb) - person who intervenes in a dispute
B; Sometimes people hire a mediate instead of a lawyer although a lawyer probably is the better choice.
C; Someone who is always there trying to solve arguments - possibly even a friend
9 A; ensue (verb) - occur as a result
B; I had to ensue that my cousin would win the game because he was younger than me.
C; You yelled at your mom - you got your phone taken away
